Dixie's Photo Shoot

We took Dixie for a professional photo shoot today. She is already 3 weeks old and we wanted to be sure to get her picture taken before she's not a newborn anymore! She did so good holding her head up for such a long time, and she didn't cry or fuss at all. I think she has changed so much already in the past three weeks. These are a few of my favorites. They haven't been cropped or edited yet, but I couldn't resist sharing them.

37 Weeks!

Well everybody, this will probably be the last picture you'll get to see of me pregnant! I've made it to the end - can you believe it?? I can hardly stand to pose for pictures anymore because I've gotten so BIG! I have three weeks to go - and can't wait to meet our baby girl.

Ultrasound Face Shot

I am 8 months now (34 weeks) and went in for my final ultrasound. It was fun because our baby is so developed now, it was so easy to make out specific features. We were able to see her face up close and personal! She was opening her mouth, sticking out her tongue, and touching her face. Here's a pretty good shot of her face - complete with a tiny fist tucked under her chin. Cute! We decided she has Ben's round face. Can't wait to meet her in 6 weeks!

We're Having a Baby Girl!

I am now 19 weeks pregnant (which equates to almost 5 months!). That also means I've officially reached the halfway point. I had my second trimester ultrasound yesterday to determine the sex of the baby. We are very lucky to be able to go to Loma Linda University Hospital because of the access we have to state of the art technology. We were able to see 4-D moving images of our baby - something most people have to pay for! It was so exciting to see our baby moving and at one point, even sucking her thumb. Even the technician was surprised to see that.

Here are a few pictures of the ultrasound. The first one shows a pretty clear shot of her face. The second shot is the closest we could get of her sucking her thumb, and the third one shows off her femininity.
